[Opinions] Re: Ashlianna
in reply to a message by Billina
Mashup names have existed for a long time (Anneliese, Marlena, Annabeth, Annelie) and adding Anna onto the end of a name may not be my style, but it's not stupid.
I think Ashlianna is actually quite pretty. I know more male Ashley's than female Ashley's, so to me it makes some sense. It may be too frilly though, but frilly names are in style right now. Ashlianna isn't going to be too out of place next to all the Isabella's and Ariana's training to be barista's in the next couple of years.

Sorry, but I think it's stupid also. I can't say what I would have said when the names you mentioned were mashed together, but Ashlianna, to me, is stupid, much like Renesme.
I also get Renesmee vibes from this particular name. That's a good way to describe it.
I keep thinking if it were Ashley-Anna, as a double first name, it would be the name of a girl going to boarding school in the deep south in the 80's.

For some reason I assumed it was pronounced Ashley-ana, but if it's Ashley-anna then it would definitely make more sense as a double name.
I'm reading it both ways.

I can't say I like Ashlianna, but it does fit a bunch of trends, so it makes sense.
