[Opinions] Joliet
What do you think of the name Joliet? Do you think it would be a good honoring name for someone named Jo? Do you prefer Jolie, Joella, or Josephina?

I prefer Jolie, Josephina, Josephine, Joanna, Johanna, or Joni. I don't prefer Joella.
It works okay as a name, but it's one of those weird instances in which I like the sounds separately but not together...same as Edna or Jonquil.
And I get an industrial vibe from it, which is off-putting to me.

Joliet is a name I’ve always tossed around and wondered why no one else ever talked about it/used it. I like it because it’s similar to Juliet but not as fragile- or precious-sounding as Juliet always sounded to me. I know nothing about Joliet, IL, so don’t have any associations.
I think it’s fine for honoring a Jo. I like Jolie but prefer Joelle to Joella. I think any of your choices would do.

Name of the crappy city in Illinois I grew up next to. I don’t like the sound either; sounds like a butchering of Juliet.
Hi !!!
Joliet is perfect to honouring both Jo and your ancestors first home in U.S.
I think that are strong ties so use it without being worried. XD
PS How is the origin of your signature? It is so weird but I think It is a quote. Isn't It?

Never heard of that, but the quote's in Animaniacs, which is the older show.

You’re right. It’s from Anamaniacs. I’ve never seen the TV show Dot.
Don't like it at all. There's a city in my home state called Joliet; it's kinda crummy IMHO.
I was thinking of using it for that reason. It both honors someone name Jo and honors my ancestors who settled in Joliet over a hundred years ago.
