They've snuck up on me recently as sturdy, classic, dependable names whereas I used to see them as boring and overused. I've never met a horrible
Thomas or
Jack.
And yes, they
are popular with both names in the Top 20 in England and Top 50 in the US but we all know popularity isn't what it used to be.
