We had a cat named Trixie. My daughter wanted to name her Beatrix after a character in "Kill Bill" but I thought Beatrix was a bit of a mouthful, so I suggested Trixie, a nickname for Beatrix.
It's a cute cat name, but I have trouble taking it seriously on a human.

Same here! It was my dog's name. She was a long-haired Dachshund who was about 15 years old when she passed away in about 2007. I cannot separate the name from her or picture it on a human, let alone an adult one. It is most definitely a pet name to me.
