Hi !!!Why didn't they choose simply Vlad? It is very tied with Dracula and it's his real and historical name. That's would be perfect, better than Alucard "Luca" because Vlad is a legitimate name too!Also I would suggest them Draco or Drake or even Drago, Dragoș and Dragos (both "dragon" via Italian/Latin and a diminutive of Dragan "precious" in Slavic).They had the chance to use the Dracula tie with a lot of "mainstream" names...why going by Alucard? Probably because the real story behind Vlad the Impaler is disturbing and violent, while you can separate the fictional Dracula from all that stuff, since the character has gone through many different versions, over the years. Alucard is fun in a way Vlad isn't.
