[Opinions] Gilbertine
Thoughts?
How would you rank Gilbertine, Albertine, and Geraldine?(I looked up a movie today and noticed it's a character's name. I've never seen it anywhere else, but it reminds me of other old sounding *ine names)

I like it. I don't think feminized names like these are clunky. They seem elegant and actually rather pretty. I can easily see it on a woman of any age, even a little girl (they're a bit frilly and posh, though, but I feel the same about Isabella, Liliana, Madeleine etc., that are already popular). Not sure if I prefer Gilbertine of Albertine (probably Gilbertine right now). Geraldine would be the last because I'm not particularly fond of the sound of Gerald.

Sounds very clunky and awkward, and I can't imagine anyone under 80 bearing it.My ranking is: Geraldine > Albertine > Gilbertine

Certainly Geraldine first, then maybe Albertine just because it's more recognizable.

Ooh, Gilbertine's delicious! I prefer Albertine, though. I also like Geraldine.

I had a phase like two years ago where I really liked those old, clunky, feminized -ine names (and I still think they're charming). Gilbertine was a favorite.I like Gilbertine and Geraldine about the same... right now I'll rank them Gilbertine, Geraldine, Albertine. Wouldn't want Geraldine to end up with the nn Gerry.
