[Opinions] Omoye?
What do you think of the name Omoye? It’s a nigerian name pronounced O-mi-yeah. What do you think an Omoye would look ike?

Not trying to be rude at all, but that’s not how to correctly pronounce the name.
It’s almost exactly how it looks OH-moy-yeh. (And like Higuma Kanora mentioned, it rhymes with Okoye from Black Panther.)
There’s an actual Nigerian person pronouncing it here if you want to hear it. (Ignore the automated recordings. They have no clue, as usual.)

I like the name, but I prefer Okoye.

Thank you for the link and the pronunciation info. It was bugging me that the pronunciation didn't match the spelling - but now that that's cleared up, I really like the name.
Oh okay sorry, I know someone with Omoye as a middle name but she didn’t seem to pronounce it the Nigerian way, Okoye is a nice name too :)
I like it, it has a sophisticated sound and reminds me of Okoye from Black Panther. I think of a strong woman with this name.
I don't like it much. I'm not sure wether it's masculine or feminine, but it sounds male to me, and I imagine an Omoye as a tall, bald Nigerian man, who always looks very calm and unperturbed.
Sorry I forgot to mention that as far as i know it’s feminine but it could be masculine too
