For years I pronounced
Solveig "Sole-VEEG" which I love. Then I learned the 'correct' pronunciation is closer to
Sylvie. I don't like it so much now.
On the other hand, I hated
Ceridwen because I pronounced it "Serry-dwen". Now I know it's 'correct' pronunciation is "Kerrid-when". I love that!
Are there times when learning the 'correct' pronunciation of a name changed your opinion of it?
