How is Elodie pronounced in American English, anyway? If it's pronounced like Melody without the M, it doesn't seem very interesting to me. Also reminds me of Amelie ... which bugs me because it's French form, but not pronounced as French where I live - it's just pronounced like another echo of ultrapopular Emily. Kennedy, Everly, Cassidy, Avery... Elodie?It's nice, I guess, it just doesn't appeal to me personally that much. I'd probably find Elodie likeable enough if I met one in real life.I'm kinda turned off by the "low" / "load" / "owed" / "o.d." sound in Elodie. I doubt I'd notice it if it were someone's name though.- mirfak

I pronounce Elodie as El-oe-dee with a long "o."
