Cohen has always struck me as offensive on behalf of a culture to which I do not belong (Jewish) because it is not only a sacred title but refers to a specific lineage...? maybe.
I asked my Jewish friend about it and he laughed and said it was actually, yes, quite offensive and disrespectful.
DON'T USE IT! Don't be cynically appropriative. Let the meaning and cultural handling of names mean something to you. Let it mean more to you that it's special to a culture, than that you think the sound is cute.

I had no idea, thank you for pointing it out. I wasn’t serious consider using it but I heard it the other day and I liked the sound of it.
100% this. There are plenty of names out there that don’t offend anyone. No need to fixate on one that’s potentially problematic.
