I have a weird liking for Clay ever since I had a character who named himself Clay. I like it as, like, a nature name? And I like the idea of it as unisex even though it is used masculine.

It's ok I suppose, but I much prefer Clayton with Clay as a nn.

It's a rock, not a name.

It makes me think of clay, and its sticky clammy feel on the hands, so I don't like it. Now that I must remember from doing something required in elementary and middle school, because I've certainly never willingly put my hands into clay as an adult.

I think it's sort of like Wade. A little charming, a little tired, talks with a drawl.

I watched "Sons of Anarchy", so it reminds me of Ron Perlman. It's not a BAD name, though. It's perfectly fine. I could get used to it.

Hi !!!I love that in the English-speaking world there are so many nature-names that are established and mainstream! That is exactly the style I like most. Unfortunately here in Italy there are only few ones that can be used.If I were English (& other nationalities...) I would consider using Clay! It is so simple but friendly and ageless (thanks to the fact that it seems a surname I guess..).
