I love it as a middle name for a girl, or a first name for an animal, example, a cat with green eyes.
As a first name, technically, since it is a nature / gemstone name, it is genderless, although I’d personally prefer it for a Girl.
Peri is adorable.
Poe could work, but I also think it is or was the name of the red Teletubby.
