[Opinions] Lizzie
WDYT of Lizzie? Can it be short for anything other than Elizabeth? **Starfish and coffee, maple syrup and jam/Butterscotch clouds, a tangerine, and a side order of ham**

I like Lizzie, I think it's a cute nickname without being dainty sounding. Lizzie is the middle ground between tomboy and girlie girl. I believe it is also used for Isabelle / Isabella Isabella > Isa > Izzy > Lizzy. Makes more sense than some nicknames out there (I'm looking at you, Jimmy)but there's also Liselotte it could be good for

Elizabeth is beautiful and has a ton of great nicknames, but Lizzie is by far the worst one. It’s a lame, obvious go-to whenever a kids’ show needs a name for a lizard and that’s all it makes me think of.

A bit boring and overused.. (sorry), but I know it’s considered a classic. Lizbeth is a cool alternative for Elizabeth! Aliza, Feliza, Ilizia, Juliza, Lizabel, Lizana, Lizandra, Lizza, Mayliz, Melizza, Yuliza

I think it's adorable, especially this spelling. Maybe Isabel?

I knew a Liz that was short for Lizmary, so I guess Lizzie would work as a nickname for that too.

I've always hated it and Liz and it's the main reason I never would have used Elizabeth, although I do like Elizabeth. Sure you can establish a different nickname, but you never know if your Elizabeth is going to decide at some point she wants to be called Liz or Lizzie. I just think "Liz" is a very unattractive syllable....which is now making me question why I like Elizabeth since that syllable is contained within it. As a matter of fact, I hate Beth too, so why do I like Elizabeth? I'm drawing a blank as far what other names it can be a nickname for, other than Lizette which is itself also a diminutive of Elizabeth.

Maybe because it's classic, and regal?

I guess it could be a nn for Lizette or Melissa or even a sort of family nn for Lindsey. But it's kind of a stretch. It's cute and cheerful, but a bit flaky. Liz is much more grown-up and down to earth.

It's okay, but childish. I feel like most Lizzies would choose to go by Liz once they reach young adulthood. Some other full names I can think of:
Lizbeth
Eliza
Eloise
Lisette
Liesel
Felicity
Lysandra
Alessandra
