[Opinions] Re: Claire, Rachel, Naomi

I prefer Clare to the fussier-looking Claire; I certainly like Clare enough to use, and Claire doesn't bother me.
Rachel is very attractive; unfortunately all the Rachel people I've known have turned into Ray people, which is rather a let-down. I'd use it happily, but only as a mn. Of course, if you don't mind Ray or like it, there's no problem.
Naomi looks better than it sounds. naOHmi sounds like a sad sigh, and NAYomi doesn't come naturally. Once again, good mn material.
Judith is elegant and lovely, and also works for a tiny child. I don't like Judy: it seems dated, and Judith is timeless. Hey Jude is pretty good as a personal signature tune!
Anne - I have a personal interest, of course, but I'm so delighted to see Anne (with an -e at that!) instead of the ubiquitous Anna. Which is OK, and infinitely better than Hannah, but Anne has the timeless beauty of Clare and Judith, or I think it does.

Interesting. I don't think I know any Rachels-called-Ray. Wonder if it's a cultural thing?
Just laziness, I suspect! Can't be bothered to form that extra syllable ...
