I think it's a status-grabbing name in the vein of Lexus or the somewhat more discreet Arden or Aspen.

I really hate it.

I argree that it comes across as a status.

That said Tiffany is friendly name. It always reminds of one of my favourite movies ; Breakfast at Tiffany's.
