[Opinions] Apple
WDYT of Apple?
**Starfish and coffee, maple syrup and jam/Butterscotch clouds, a tangerine, and a side order of ham**

I guess it's a bit silly but it can be cute.
I used to think it was really silly until I met someone named Apple-Joy. The name really suited her. She was very quirky and had her own style. I still think it takes a very particular kind of person to pull it off though. Otherwise, I agree with what RoxStar said.
Dreadful, even if it doesn't shorten to App! And what else could it shorten to?
My friend's Chinese wife wanted people to call her Apple but nobody would, so she tried for Plum instead! When that didn't work, she settled for her original name, which works fine.

Not good for a name
If it wasn't such a common word, I might actually like the sound of it. I'm guilty of secretly liking Plum for a girl, but Apple is just such a commonly used word that it would sound dumb even for a dog or cat.
I think I wouldn't mind it if I didn't immediately think of computers.
It sounds so random and dumb, like a little kid just seeing an apple two seconds before he's told he can name the new baby, and he says Apple and the parents are too tired or too dim to veto it.
Agreed.
