[Opinions] Daffodil
What would you think if someone named their kid Daffodil? Do you like it? **Starfish and coffee, maple syrup and jam/Butterscotch clouds, a tangerine, and a side order of ham**

I don't really like it. It sounds sort of strange when used as a name, plus there's the nickname Daffy. I think Daffodil would be better suited as a middle name.

I wouldn’t be surprised to hear it used, so many cutesy names seem popular at the moment. I think it would be ok as a middle name.

You're right about that, which prompts me to say that I prefer Daffodil to Poppy.

It makes more sense to me than Tulip, and I think it's more pleasant than Magnolia.I think it might be hard to pull off (so better as a MN), but I don't automatically dislike it.

I have no problem with daffodils, but I find it hard to imagine a child with this name. Daphne sounds similar and would make a much better alternative for a girl.

I would think Do Better.

It doesn't have a nice sound and Daffy isn't attractive either. It sounds like the name of a washing powder. I know it is a flower, but it just doesn't feel name-y. I think some celebrity has a daughter named Daffodil Sunflower, but I don't remember who it was. I think of hippies.

I would think they had the mindset of a seven-year-old. It just sounds like somebody's kitten or Easter duckling.

I'd think that trying to seem cutting edge or different or not sheeple or whatever was more important to these people than taking care that their kid doesn't have a silly name. No, I don't like it. I can envision her being called Daffy.

It reminds me of Daffy Duck. I think the parents are trying to hard, like naming your daughter Honeysuckle.(That said I do like some outlandish names..)
