WDYT? I find it beautiful, but I never gotten along with any Lydias in rl.
Any combos?

I go back and forth on Lydia. That 'i' sound isn't my favorite and it's the reason I don't like Olivia either. But I think it's a perfectly fine name to have, one I'd be happy enough to bear myself. It's tasteful and it has a solid history of use. For some reason, I like Lydie more.
Lydia Juliet (don't usually like Juliet, but it works so well here to pretty up Lydia)
Lydie Clementine

Lovely name and so underused here in Australia. I think I’ve only ever met one Lydia in my life.
No need to apologize! I only asked how many Lydias you'd known in my comment because it's such an uncommon name. But one bad association will ruin a name for anybody.
How many Lydias have you known? I ask because I've only known one my whole life, back in high school, and she actually spelled it Lidia (first-generation Polish-American). Shame you haven't gotten on well with any.
That said, Lydia is a very elegant name in my view, while the middle D keeps the sound from being too soft and airy. I've played around with these combos in the past:
Lydia Madeleine
Lydia Marguerite
Lydia Sheridan
Lydia Nadine
Lydia Daphne
Lydia Mary
Lydia Seraphine
Lydia Josephine
Lydia Jacqueline
Lydia Juliet / Lydia Juliette

I think it’s soooo pretty.
I just posted about this name as it's a top contender for me. I prefer Lidia. Never known one in real life.
