I think anything goes as a middle name, but if ever a name screamed "redneck" that name is Willowdene.

"Redneck" and "Yankee" are the same----used as an insult by those who aren't, worn with pride by those who are.

There was a beautiful cul-de-sac near me growing up (in London) called Willowdene Avenue. I would never have thought it had redneck associations in America!

Double names are seen as very Southern/"redneck" in the U.S. and Willowdene sort of reads as a double name. That and the association with the movie are probably why it conjures up "redneck" for some people.
