[Opinions] Re: Temperance

I think it's fun, but Tempy is so hypothetical - like what an awkward syllable for a name to land on, it's so billowy and fragile. I'd probably get used to it.
Oh you know what. My next door neighbor had a dog named Tempest, frequently Tempy, and it sounded dumb every time he said it.
Temperance is a fun virtue. I think about it a lot. I don't necessarily think of it ironically.
Temperance Justice haha
Temperance Sinclair
Temperance Quill
Temperance Mariah
This is making me think of Esperance, an old fashioned word for Hope I think.

I do like Esperance. It has a wispy, elegant feel to it.
LOVE Esperance!
I've been thinking about it a lot lately. I love that it's an antiquated word!

Yes, indeed. In the second job I ever had, one of the managers was a very tough unmarried lady named Esperance. Her father had been the principal of a local teacher training college, and in honour of his daughter he had one of the women's residences named Esperance after her.
