I think Tupac as a name is similar to Beyonce. If you don't like the association with the singer, I'd say it's off limits.
But I wouldn't necessarily say the association is a handicap.

Yeah, exactly. I know a few young men and little boys with the name Tupac. Have yet to meet a kid named Beyonce but I'm sure they're out there. Just because a famous person made it well known doesn't necessarily make it off limits. I would definitely assume the person's parents are a fan though. And nothing wrong with that. People name their kids after famous people and characters all the time...
