It's totally insubstantial to me. If a breeze caught it, nothing would stop it from wafting away into oblivion.

I like it pronounced with a short A, AM-ury better. Otherwise its okay.

It doesn't work well, people will always mispronounce it as Am-eh-ree and then it will get confused with Emily, Emory, Amélie and all kinds of other names.

If you want the pronunciation you listed try Amery. It is closer to Avery. I still think there will be pronunciation issues, though.

Dislike it. It's an attempt to feminize Amory. I love that name for a boy and would prefer that it stay that way, thank you very much. Probably a losing battle, though. *sigh*

I don’t like the spelling, but I love the pronunciation! Beautiful name for a horse, a Peruvian paso I think.

Sounds too trendy. Like it's trying to catch onto the popularity of names like Avery or Emery on girls.
