Disgustingly hideous. Grenda and Lyn are bad by themselves, but together they’re just not good.

I’m sorry but I don’t like it. I think is sounds like a wicked character in a fantasy novel.
I might actually consider using it in that context.

It sounds like a fake Gwendolyn. People will always mishear it.Apart from that it sounds like "grind" and "grate". It's unattractive.

Fail. It sounds like either a mispronunciation of Gwendolyn, or like someone trying to feminize Grendel; which is not at all a good association and there's a good reason nobody is named Grendel.

Hilarious in a Diana Wynne Jones fantasy kind of way, but unsuitable for the real world.I saw a reference recently to a Graham whose nn was Grizelda. Grizelda is much better than teeth-grinding Grendalyn!

Someone asked me once what character from fiction I'd like to be, and - partly because it's a silly question - I volunteered to be Grendel's mother. Even tougher than Grendel ...

Wow, I think I just found my new #1 most hated name. Sorry if you like it but, to me, there is nothing redeeming about Grendalyn. It starts off harshly, ends trendy, and sounds like "gremlin". Yikes...

Immediately brings me to the monster from Beowulf. I'd stick with Gwendolyn. It's much softer and lighter.
