[Opinions] Thoughts on Concordia
Do its nicknames like Connie and Cory make it more usable?

It's the name of a university near me, so that's the first thing I think of. It doesn't sound like a human name to me, sorry.
No nickname can save it from sounding like a 1930s ocean liner.
It sounds like a corporation.

Its untimely fate was world news. Be prepared for the possibility of people bringing that one up ad nauseam.

I hadn't even heard about that. Is it a common knowledge thing?
Everyone who watched TV news in 2012 couldn't help seeing it on every channel. Not where I live, certainly, and I mostly watch BBC and CNN.
Concordia doesn't sound like an ordinary person, but like a town or maybe the name a nun chooses when she enters the convent.
If I wanted to use Connie or Cori, I would just use them and skip the messy middle step.

I say yes.
I don't like Connie or Corey as nns, just really like Concordia by itself. I think it's usable as is.
