Yes, like the song. It apparently means "Egyptian lady". Could this be a name? I love the way it looks, there's something enchanting about it. What do you think?

I haven't heard of the song. It doesn't work for me at all. It reminds me of "misery" and people will mishear it as Missy-Lou.

Since Egypt is called "Miṣr" in Arabic, I could see how Misirlou could mean "Egyptian lady".

Yeah, that "Misir" part is what gives me pause, with the similarity to miser and misery. It's a good name for a fictional witch, maybe.
