Help[Opinions] Hyland
Surprise, surprise, the name Hyland literally means “High land”, and has Irish origins, it’s also an Irish surname. Optional, but here are a few questions:
1. What would you rate it on a scale from 1-10, or what’s your opinion?
2. Do you like it better on girls or boys? Or do you feel like it’s fairly unisex.
3. Are you into surnames as first names? (Ex: Lennox, Madison, Jackson, etc.)

I immediately think of the actress Sarah Hyland.
1. I would rate it a 2/10. It’s not awful or unusable but I don’t like the sound or the look of it. It’s much too surname-y.
2. If I had to, I would only use it on a boy. It’d be pretty bad on a girl.
3. It depends on the surnames, I like some and I really dislike some. It being a surname doesn’t really turn me on or off from a name though, it’s all about how it sounds and how well it works in a FN spot.
