Well, btn says Zeno is pronounced with a short e ... at least in Italian, which is something I didn't notice when I looked it up ...
I say it with a long e but I wouldn't know if that is "correct" or what. It seems more likely to me that the short e is "original" but I dunno.The entry for Zena (which I also say with a long e) says it's not a fem form of Zeno at all. I think the long e pronunciation is "correct" in English? But the double N in Zenna forces me to say a short e in English.To me, that makes it seem more like a form of Zeno (which can be pronounced with short e), and it fits with the poster's idea that it refers to Zeus.- mirfak
