[Opinions] Ferrari
WDYT? I like it, but as is with all 'Weird' Names (Tanqueray, Rhythm, Cashmere, e.t.c) it's not that usable. Any NN's, MN's?

It's too weird and too r heavy. NN I guess Ari.
Idk, it sounds okay to me. I went to school with a Porsche, and I like Mercedes. And I like Bakari and Ferris.
The vibe is like a masculine version of Chanel, maybe, which is nms but sounds pretty.
Ari, if there's a NN.
MNs, uh...
Ferrari Noah
Ferrari Sebastian
Ferrari Dante
Ferrari Benvolio
Ferrari Zev

Was "Porsche" spelled that way? Or was it Portia? If it was in fact Porsche, I'm not a fan. Not crazy about Portia either, for that matter. Mercedes feels different to me because the car was named after a person named Mercedes. To be fair, Ferrari was, too. But it was the surname in that case.

It was Porsche; that spelling was in US top 1000 for a couple years in the late 80s (around when I was born).
It's not my thing, but I didn't hate it, and I don't remember her getting teased relentlessly for it or anything.
...and if I'm basing the decision off of etymology, I like Porsche more than Portia.

The meaning of Portia is awful.
IT'S A CAR.
I wouldn't want to name a kid after a car. And you can make it even worse by middle naming him Rider/Ryder!

Yes
Yes, I think the fact that it is well known car overshadows anything else about the name, and the middle names don't help diminish the association.

People name their kids this? It's okay, but too associated with the car. NN can be Rari? I have no idea what an MN for this would be. Maybe Lamborghini?
Too associated with the car. Definitely masculine, though.
Sexy cool. Unisex.
I love Tanqueray, Rhythm is odd but I'm not opposed, Cashmere sounds sleek and wealthy.

It's so stagey and "trying desperately to be classy" that it ends up pathetic and embarrassing.
I once knew of a woman with the last name Ferrari whose first name was also a type of car. The whole combo sounded like a joke.
