It's going to start sounding weirder the older you get. A colt is a baby horse. Is a man going to want to identify with that at thirty? Forty? Seventy? Oh well, there's also the gun I guess. I'm not that fond of it but I like it better than Colton because I would not be bothered to see it on say a fictional cowboy.

Yeah. It sounds a little more rugged than other young/baby animal words, but it's not that much different than being named Puppy.
