[Opinions] Name sighting / BA
When I was driving home from work the other day I saw a house with one of those stork cardboard cutouts on the lawn announcing, "It's A Girl!" Inside the "sack" that the "stork" was holding, I saw the name:Camila GenesisNow, I hadn't realized Camila was rising in popularity so fast nationwide (it's in the U.S. Top 20), but just living in my neck of the woods I know it's really trending with the Hispanic community. I've also only ever met Hispanic women (mainly Mexican) with the name Genesis; so I don't even need to know the last name of the family to know it's a Hispanic / Latino household. While I'd never use either name personally (not big on Camilla or Camille, either), I think the combo has a nice ring to it. Anyway, wdyt?***Please rate my personal name lists:www.behindthename.com/pnl/69381

Camila is nice. Genesis is awful, and I will never understand its popularity in the US. I hope it never crosses the border.

I never met a Camila, (Nor did I realize it was rising in popularity so much) but I did meet a Genesis in my after-school back in kindergarten. I think Genesis is pretty and unusual, Camila Genesis is pretty.

I have known a Hispanic Genesis but I didn't realize it was a common thing among the community lolI like both names separately (to a degree) but I don't think they go well together; Camila is warm and feminine while Genesis is the opposite.

We have a large Hispanic (mostly Mexican and Guatemalan) population here and there's lots of little Camilas. I don't believe I've run across a Genesis, though I'm sure it's out there. The thing here is that Genesis is a local nursing/rehab/care facility.
