[Opinions] Arietta
What are your impressions of it? Are their names that end in -etta that you prefer more? TY!
Please rate my "Names I would use" list if you have a spare moment, feel free to rate other lists too if you want but ik there's a lot lol, thank you :) https://www.behindthename.com/pnl/223226/138473

I love the nickname Arie so I like Arietta for that reason. I'm not usually a fan of -etta names but this one is pretty =)
I love Arrietty. In general, I don't like -etta endings, I only really like Henrietta but Arietta is also pretty. If I was having a daughter in Poland, Arietta might be a way to make Arrietty usable, although I would probably get rid of the double t too to make the pronunciation flow better, but I suppose Arieta doesn't look as well in English. I think I just like the "Ari-" beginning and I would like most names starting with it.
I’m a Chicago Cubs fan so all I can think of is Jake Arrietta. I think it sounds very surname-y and doesn’t have the most pleasant sound in general.
thank you for your thoughts on the matter
Me too! Some of the other etta names can be a little clunky but I actually like this one a lot

I've encountered both Arieta and Arietta as people's last names, so to me this looks like it's part of the surname-as-first-name trend. I vastly prefer Ariella / Arielle.
Come to think of it, I'm not much of a fan of -etta names in general... and I tend to prefer -et to -ette as well (and also -el to -elle / -ella).

It's okay. It makes me think of "The Secret Life of Arrietty". It kind of blends in with all the popular names right now: Amaya, Amaia, Aaliyah, Aria, Amira, Amara, Alita etc. so it's not very exciting but I still think it's pretty. I can't think of an -etta name I like more but for -et -ette I like Juliet and Harriet.
It kind of makes me think of the secret life of Arrietty as well that is part of the reason why I like it. But the thing about Arrietty is I do not like the final sound -ietty because it makes me think of a Yeti XD so the A over the Y suffix eliminates that sound in my mind.
Yes, Arietta is better! I haven't seen the film yet but I will.
