[Opinions] Alidor

I came across this name while looking for French names in general. When I first saw it I got interested and decided to read more about it. It's a shame that this name is sort of archaic, because it's really handsome and charming.
I picture a young French man (around 25 years old) in a medieval noir novel, who is a vampire living in a castle.
French pronunciation: a-lee-DAWR
(Hypothetical) English pronunciation: AL-ee-dər
What do you think of this name? Combos are welcome!

I agree, it sounds like the name of a vampire in a novel... or a character in a High Fantasy series. It's not bad, but I couldn't see it on a real, modern person. Something about it feels quite fantasy-esque, almost to the point where I wouldn't be surprised if it were a 'made up' constructed fantasy name within said fantasy franchise.
I agree that it has a medieval vibe to it. I picture a French knight who lives in a castle and rides a white or black horse.
I also picture it as a name for a race horse.

Actually, it reminded me of Selidor (alternative spelling of 'cellar door'), and ❞... cellar door has been widely cited as an example of a word or phrase that is beautiful purely in terms of its sound (i.e., euphony) without inherent regard for its meaning.❞
Well, in fact English speakers must find the sound of Alidor pleasant. I guess?
I agree there is something medieval about this name; it's good for a knight or a castle.

I like it, I agree it’s very handsome. Gives off more of a nerdy vibe than a gothic one to me, though.
