[Opinions] Gender Neutral names?
I struggle with a gender-neutral list mostly because I don't like a lot of the gender-neutral names OR that the names I do like, I have a very heavy preference. Eg I love River - but on a boy. I also love Hazel - but on a girl. I know both of those names can be used in a gender-neutral sense, but I struggle to view them outside of my preference. Having said that, here is my top 10 list of choices;August or Autumn
Logan or Morgan or Jordan
Hazel or River
Harper
Brooke
Noël
Isidore "Izzy"
Jules
Chandler or Valentine
Nikollë "Nikki" or "Nick"I know Isidore and Nikollë are both strictly masculine, but I think they're obscure enough in my country that I think they could suit any gender.Based on these names, does anybody have any suggestions? Preferably your more obscure ones (feel free to put comments on the names and if any of them would make good sibsets and whatnot)---"one particular boogie will move mirror massaging with stirring crepe mixture, positioning loaves while in the furnace then toting items in containers" ~ best Russian daing sites (guest, 198.144.149.xxx) (2020)Formally PrincessZ and Princess Magpie

Tbh the only ones from your list I find gender-neutral are Morgan, Jordan, Harper, and Valentine.
How about...
Lennox
Vivian
Azariah
Penrose (technically masculine but could work for a girl too?)

I love Isidore on a girl too. I think it's obscure enough nowadays that someone could do it without people making much of a fuss. I love Jules and Valentine on boys and I think they'd be gorgeous as a sibset, ah!! Jules, Valentine and Noël would be lovely. One thing though - I'm guessing that since you include the diacritical mark, the pronuncian would be "no ELL" as opposed to "nole", is that right?Hmm some of my fave non binary ideas are:Ailbhe (I like both the pronunciation "Albie" and "Alva")
Amor (very cheesy I know)
True
Aspen (apparently this is only feminine but it works fine on a boy for me....)
Clover
Enitan
Evren
Tierney
Darby
Sparrow
AmeryI also like some old fashioned/less common names that are technically not nonbinary but I think they'd work:Wilmot
Kestrel
Jolyon
Merit
Scout (this seems like such a boy name to me)
Amabel
Jonquil
Merryn
Ninian
Seneca
Afon
Wynn or Wynne
Cymbeline
Sylvain
Yves (this is not that obscure but I still love this idea)

August: Exclusively masculine in my opinion. Unless it’s a nickname for Augusta or Augustine, I could care less for it on a girl.Autumn: I only hear it on a girl, but it’s not horrible on a boy.Logan: Masculine. Morgan: Unisex leaning feminine.Jordan: Unisex leaning masculine.Hazel: Fem, but I can see it on a guy.River: I love the name River. I much prefer it on a male (Probably because I first heard it from River Phoenix) but on a girl it isn’t the worst.Harper: Pretty feminine. Brooke: Feminine. I can fairly see it on a male though.Noël: Noelle for girl, Noel for a boy. This one is decent for either gender.Isidore: I actually originally thought this name was feminine. It sounds way too much like “Is a door” for my liking, but it’s decent on either gender.Jules: Definitely unisex. I think of it as a nickname for Julia and Julian.Chandler: Exclusively masculine. Reminds me of Chandler from Friends.Valentine: Unisex.Nikollë: Interesting. I can Nikki or Nick on either gender really. Suggestions:Rivers or Lake instead of River.Enfys, Keshet, Alex, Amani, Azar, Bronte, Dominique, Regan, Romilly, Sevan, Sláine.

I like gender neutral names but I almost always have a preference. And if you don't like them or have a preference I don't think you need to force yourself to like any, it's just a personal preference.River - okay for both but very much prefer for a boy.
Hazel - super feminine to me.
Autumn - super feminine to me.
August - very masculine to me.
Logan - very masculine to me.
Morgan - unisex to me but prefer for a girl.
Jordan - unisex, slightly prefer for a boy.
Harper - very girly to me.
Brooke - girly, but Brook works for both.
Noël - this is strictly masculine, Noëlle is feminine.
Isidore - masculine to me.
Chandler - masculine.
Jules - boy, unless nickname.
Valentine - both but very very much prefer on a girl
Nikollë - I can see that it is Albanian, but to be honest I thought "what a terrible misspelling of Nicole", sorry! My suggestions:Rivers - the S makes it more unisex, in my opinion, I could see this on both.
Rain - I know a boy named this but he spells it Rayne. I get more of a feminine image but it does work on both.
Shea - prefer on boy but works on both.
Ash - this is more masculine to me but works.
Rowan - I prefer it on a boy but this is one of THE unisex names for me in the sense that it works really well on everyone.
Quinn - works well.
LakeThe most completely unisex sounding ones to me personally are: Rowan, Quinn, Rivers, Morgan, Jordan, Rain.
