I love it as a nickname for Pearl! My daughter is Pearl nickname Pearlie (or Pearlie-Lou!)

Strictly nn, and a nn for a fn that I don't like, at that.

I was looking for someone in a useful (but not perfect) site that lists deaths in South Africa according to ln and identity number. And on the way I spotted, not Pearlie, but Pearline. Definitely a first for me!
