The big name for me is Amanda. I hated it when I was growing up, because there were a lot of them, and it came across as a very snotty kind of name. Now, I love it and I think it's very pretty. I would seriously consider it as a middle name IRL, if I wanted to have a kid.
Shane is the male equivalent. I like the name Shane, I just can't hate it no matter how hard I try (I don't try).
