[Opinions] What would you think of these words if they were names?
Just completely forget that these are words for a second. What do you think of them if they were names? Would they be masculine, feminine or unisex? Would you give nicknames?
Serenade
Clever
Never
Maroon

Maroon sounds like the most name like one of all of them, Never and Clever could be twins ngl lol

Clever and Never are actually real names, they're male names used in Africa. Serenade seems female to me, and Maroon is unisex. I like Clever the best, next to Serenade. Maroon is alright. I think Maroon, Clever, and Never are alright on their own. I'd give Serenade Sera as a nickname.

Serenade - this would definitely work as a name. I would use "Rena" as a nickname
Clever & Never - Sound too much like what a slavemaster would call a slave
Maroon - As a name, it is too close to "moron" to be usable

Serenade: Seren meets lemonade (f, Seren)
Clever: nms (m, Clev)
Never: ever is a nice ending sound but I don't like the nasal N beginning (u, f= Neve, m= Nev)
Maroon: okay (m, Rooney)

I think the better of the bunch is Maroon and Serenade. I can see them working if they were used by a non-English speaking alien who just likes the sound. As for nicknames:Sera; Ada; Jade for Serenade Clev is all I think of for Clever. I hate it, but I can see it happening. Same with Never and Nev.Roonie; Mar; Noonoo for Maroon

Serenade (f) would be pretty. I don’t think I’d want to use a nickname but there’d obviously be Sera as an option.Clever (m) and Never (m, but maybe unisex) would be nms. Too harsh and old sounding. See: Neville.Maroon (m, unisex) is kind of cool but kind of awkward. It does remind me or Harun, which I really like.

Feminine:
Serenade - because it reminds me of Serena
Clever - reminds me of Clover
Never - Nieves.Masculine:
Maroon - Is it /məˈruːn/ mə-ROON or /məˈroʊn/ mə-ROHN?
Either way it sounds masculine to me.Nicknames:
Serenade - Rena
Clever - Ever
Never - Ever or Nevie
Maroon - maybe Mars, Ronnie or Rooney.Well, I like how *ever* sounds, e.g. Everard (Evert), Everild. But I really need some extra letters to make a name out of an adverb (frequently used adverb).
