I'd assume it was GIN-ee (with the hard 'g'), like Guinea Pig. I dislike it. Any nickname that could be readily followed up with 'pig' might be an issue later.

Neither: GWIN-ee. But I wouldn't. It's hideous, and I don't enjoy Gwen or Gwyn names anyway.
