[Opinions] Rian (M)

I like it. I say it like "REE-ən".
ETA: I don't like it pronounced like Ryan. It's unintuitive and just turns it into a version of Ryan, which is overused and dated. Rian looks younger and more energetic, part of that is the spelling but it doesn't work if you pronounce the i like the y in Ryan.

When I first saw it, I had no idea that it was a variant of Ryan. I don't know, I and Y both sound like 'ee' or 'ie' in English, which can be pretty confusing. Both of the spellings make phonetic sense, but they also don't. I had been pronouncing it as Re-ahn in my head. Oops..
To cause less confusion, you should choose Ryan as a first name, or Rian as a middle name. I've always loved the name Ryan! However, I was expecting a variant like Ryen or even Ryann (different from Ryann for girls; for boys, it would be pronounced the same as Ryan).
So Rian is interesting. And I agree with Belpheobe, it looks feminine somehow.

I also think it could be short for names like Adrian and therefore I'd presume it's pronounced ree-an. I think this pronunciation sounds pretty/feminine.
I've met a couple Rians and they all pronounced it the same as Ryan. But I can see someone saying it's ree-an.
I don't like it, Ryan pronounced Ry an is nice though

I hate it, it looks so awkward and needless spelling. I would say Ryan, the normal way. Ree-an, maybe?
