[Opinions] Re: Yule
It’s got that back-of-the-throat feeling when I say it that I hate. Plus, it’s a bit cheesy, and I think the kid would get a lot of “…you’ll what?” responses. And finally, I don’t love names that give personal info away. With a name like Yule people immediately know your approximate birthday and that your parents probably celebrate Christian holidays. Some people wouldn’t mind that I’m sure, but the older I get, the more I realize how important it is to only give out info on yourself when you feel comfortable. (I know a lot of the names I like are traditionally Judeo-Christian, but many are used more globally now so there’s still an element of mystery.)

I wouldn't think it's a given they were born in December (most holiday/month/season names are not literally descriptive anymore, in my experience) or Christian. It does sound Christian, pagan, or generally northern European.
