[Opinions] Elnora
The other day, I met a very sweet 103 year old woman named Elnora. I've always loved Nora and it's variants, so I find this name kind of pretty as well. It reminds me of the names Eleanora, Lenora, and Nora. With the trends of El- names going around, maybe this one could work too? What are your thoughts on this name? You could nickname them Ellie, call them Nora, and it's most certainly unique."You're a firework. Show your obstacles your brightest colors."-MeRate my name lists too!

Its okay, not as plain as Nora. But I keep wanting to say Eleanora. Bad habit. I like the nicknames Ell, Ellie, Nell, Nellie, and Nora. They work nicely. Its in the same boat as Eudora, Eldora, Eleanora, and Theodora: old-fashioned and possibly underappreciated feminine names that could make a comeback. That would be refreshing.

Aw, Elnora is very charming. It's sturdier than Eleanora / Eleonora.

I don't like saying the Eln part. I'd rather meet an Elsinore or Nellie.
I do like Elmira, which seems similar to me stylewise. And yes, Elnora "Ellie" / "Nora" works ok.

I’ve always loved it. When I was a little girl I had a book called “A Girl of the Limberlost” about a girl named Elnora who caught moths and sold them to scientists and collectors in order to put herself through school. Great book, great name.
