Chosen deliberately, it reminds me of singer/actress Marianne Faithfull playing a sex worker who chose "Irina Palm" (the movie title) as a pseudonym.
As a real surname, it mainly reminds me of Amanda Palmer.
It reminds me of female musicians but seems gender neutral. It's about as unisex as Chandler or Parker, maybe.
