[Opinions] Lyndis
For international women’s day on March 8th I have started looking up some of the women my brownies admire. One of the women is British chemist Helen Sharman. Helen’s mother is Lyndis Sharman.
WDYT of Lyndis?

I absolutely gorgeous. Lyndis is a variant of Linda
My immediate thought is of the character from Fire Emblem. To me, it's like naming your kid Zelda or Hermione or something like that, in a sense that it could work, but she'll get a lot of comments on it.
Don't really like it
There’s a character in a video game series called Fire Emblem with this name.
I think it’s nice, though I find Lyn a little bland. (I also could never use it because my fiancé’s surname starts with Lin-, lol.)

hmm... I really like it!
Makes me think of Lindisfarne, which brings to mind both beautiful illuminated manuscripts and Viking attacks. It is actually quite pretty, and I'd love to know the origin of it.
Is her middle name Farne??
Compared to Linda and Lindsey/Lindsay, Lyndis is a real eye-catcher. I like it; unusual for me because I'm not keen on most names with -is endings. (I also like Lyndall.)
Mother Lyndis didn't choose a rare and splendid name for her own daughter! I love Helen, but it's not in the same class as Lyndis.
