[Opinions] Big YouTube Family
I started watching one of those big family YouTuber channels. This family has adopted several children. The mom’s sister also does this and has a channel, but I haven’t really gotten into that one yet. This week they finalized an adoption and revealed the names of three more children. What do you think of the names? Some kids kept their first names, they got to choose if they were old enough, and some are biological children so their names have always been the same. I will try to note that if I know, as well as who are biological siblings adopted together and which are the parents’ biological children.
Parents Aaron Patrick and Crystal Lee have:
Jamie Lee (28) Melinda’s biological sister
Melinda Leigh (26) I don’t know why Leigh is spelled different. Jamie’s biological sister.
Alexander “Alex” Patrick (19) originally José Manuel
- fiancé Savannah
Ariana Lee (18) originally Arieanna Hope
Halie Lee (18) biological child
Hannah Lee (16) originally Gloria Guadalupe
Max Weston (16) biological child
Lucas “Luke” Sebastian (15) originally Alex Sebastian, biological siblings with Savannah
Izabelle “Bella” (14), they did not mention her middle name, one of the new 3, biological siblings Rylan and Liam
Jake Weston (13) originally Ismael
Savannah Lee (13) originally Elisa Lee Marie, biological siblings with Lucas
Rylan Weston (11) originally Rylan King, one of the new 3, biological siblings Bella and Liam
Liam Matthew (10) originally Liam King, one of the new 3, biological siblings Bella and Rylan
Logan Matthew (10) biological child
Brody Matthew (9) originally Bryn, pronounced like Brian
Aurora Lee (5) - Jamie’s biological daughter, but Jamie has a disability and was deemed unable to care for her, so they adopted her, so they could stay together so this has always been her name.
Melinda has a daughter named Scarlett Leigh (4)
I’m not sure if I have the three new ones in exactly the right birth order amongst the others.

It bugs me that they changed the children's names.
I can see that, but they have mostly adopted older kids and let them decide if they wanted to or not and some didn’t, but others that were constantly getting yelled at by birth families or just wanted to have a fresh start from their trauma wanted to.
Ah, I see! Knowing they were mostly older child adoptions and that the children had a say, I take no issue with it.
Thanks for letting me know!
Thanks for letting me know!
When I think of all the rooms they must need, all the transport they must lay on, all the food they must first afford, then transport and then cook, not to mention all the homework they must supervise, I become increasingly sceptical. And the children! What must it be like to live in something that calls itself a home but behaves like a 'children's home' for kids in need? And where does the money come from? Crowd-funding? I am horrified.
