1. Generate a number between 1 and 4 for every couple. If it is 1, and the relationship is an engagement, it ends - either because it is broken up or because one party dies.
If it is 1, and the relationship is a marriage, generate a number between 1 and 2. If it is 1, the marriage ends. If it is 2, one of the sides takes a paramour.
2. Generate a number between 1 and 5 for all family members under the age of 10 or over the age of 50. If it is 5, they die. I will leave the method to your discretion.
3. Generate a number between 1 and 10 for all singles aged 15 or older. If they are under 18, 6 or above is an engagement. If they are between 18 and 24, 4-7 is an engagement, and 8-10 is a marriage. If they are 25 or older, 5 or above means marriage. The ages of the spouses and betrotheds are up to you.
4. Generate a number between 1 and 3 for each engagement. If it is 1, the marriage is postponed - why? If it is 2 or 3, the couple marries. They do not need to be older than 18, but the marriage can only start producing children when the mother is.

King Athelstan has acceded the usual life expectancy of his time but he is still going somewhat strong with his wife. Meanwhile with Rohesia, before she and her young Fiancée, Pharamond could finally get married, he is sent out to war where Rohesia never sees him again. This leaves Rohesia widowed, and also disrespected for it is expected that she should get married at her age, but luckily a baron from Brittany travels on a boat just to see her, after hearing of her husbands death. They decide not to take chances and get married immediately, Rohesia also moves to Brittany and starts a family with the baron, who’s name is Armel. Although she is happy with her new son Gwenneg and her new life, she still knows that once her father dies, the throne is her birthright.

John Laurence was crowned King the next fortnight, and swiftly married Countess Ethel of Bainbridge. Three years ago, Princess Mary was betrothed to and married Baron Baron Nicholas of Umbridge. Prince Edmund now retains the title of Crown Prince, at least until King John Laurence and Queen Ethel have children. He has made himself a good name in falconry and has pioneered several new techniques with great success. Princess Cateline has distinguished herself as a musician and plays the piano quite wonderfully. The young prince Robert Henry has started his education.

King Bartholomew is hard pressed to find him a wife, but does not. Annabel, however, marries Duke Henry, her lover of three years. Francis and Fluerette have yet to have children, which worries Fluerette.

Henry is spending as much time as possible with his concubine, daughter of a well known merchant, while Flavienne is said to have taken a great liking to her horseback riding teacher.
With his own life settled, it was time for Henry to focus on the marriage politics through his three children. The first wedding went through without a hitch. His younger son Edmund married Queen Adora on Aragon on the day of her eighteenth birthday and became King Edmundo of Aragon. Edmundo and Adora's first son Prince Josepe Henry, named after both his grandfathers, arrived on the couple's first wedding anniversary, but is yet to be followed by a spare which is a bit worrying. Edmundo and Adora appear to be very much in love, so Henry likes to say to himself that another child is just a matter of time.
The second wedding never happened as King Ercole of Venice was assassinated a year into the betrothal with young Princess Maud by his uncle Prince Annibale. Although not happy about the premature death of her fiancé, Maud breathed a sigh of relief when the news reached Northumbria but dutifully held the obligatory mourning period, this also held off her father from immediately planning another betrothal. Henry focused instead on his oldest son and heir to Northumbria's throne.

She's finally got what she wanted, becoming Queen of Scotland. Her husband may be the figurehead, but rest assured, Queen Aveline is pulling all the strings.
