I was was watching the 1930s version of Four Feathers. The only female in the film is the fiancée of the hero and she is called Ethne.

What do you think of Ethne and which spelling do you prefer Ethne or Eithne?

I like Eithne a lot more. Never seen Ethne before and it looks incomplete and kind of unnatural to me, plus I actually really like Eithne.

Ethne is nice, but it reminds me of Ethane (so does Ethan, which is one of my favorite names). I prefer the look of Ethne to Eithne.

I prefer Eithne because Ethne just reminds me of "ethnic" (etc.).
