Lovina was not uncommon in the 19th century USA. I suspect it was mostly pronounced with the sound of the word "vine" in the middle back then. I actually would like that better than "low-VEE-nuh", which is how most people would probably pronounce it today.

It would be hard to spell if you hadn't seen it written down. La-Vena would be possible! 'Can't help lovin' a newborn child' - modification of the original song - but really too sentimental and also too flimsy for anyone old enough to walk and talk.

It sounds like a character from an RPG and not a real person. It’s too saccharine.
