I might be persuaded to name a little boy Larry after McMurtry, or I suppose Laura or Lauren, but it would take some seriously good skills to persuade me to use that kind of reasoning to give a name. lol
Hemingway sounds so faux-aristocratic as a fn. Also, I found Ernest's writing to be a huge crashing bore. A story about a guy fighting to land a giant fish who is fighting to not be landed and might take him to the bottom of the ocean should not be as dull as that one was.
Before you criticize a man, walk a mile in his shoes. That way, when you criticize him, you're a mile away and you have his shoes!
