In Dutch, there's still an expression alluding to the Homeric figure. I doubt you'd call your child "an old man" so I would not use it.

Mixed feelings. Old man vibes. Homeric figure. Have a relative small boy called Nesto, which I like better.

I don't like it, I just think it has a rough sound and it looks too old-fashioned to me.

It's underappreciated in the English-speaking world - I think it should have more recognition!

I don't like it. It always reminds me of the butler in Tintin, though, which is nice.

I've always been rather fond of it. It's interesting without feeling too over the top.
