[Opinions] Seanna
Would you pronounce Seanna more like Shauna, or more like Sienna? And where do you live?
I ran this poll https://www.behindthename.com/polls/382883 and I'm surprised it's as close as it is. I had thought there was only one pronunciation.

South Carolina; I’d say it as “See-ANN-uh”. It reminds me of a girl I used to know called Ceanna (pronounced the same).
Me too, and I'm in South Africa. That said, Sean is no longer fashionable, so perhaps not? But I've never seen Sienna used locally.
Yeah I don’t think Sean is popular here anymore either. Off topic slightly but I went to school with a Sian (different name and prn shahn) and a few Seans with various spellings. So I guess that explains why my first reaction would be Shauna rather than a creative spelling of Sienna. I think the only creative spelling of Sienna I’ve come across began with a C.
I’m in Canada and the same.
Huh. If I saw that name I would’ve said it like Sienna but with an a instinctively. Like See-ann-ah. Not Shauna. Interesting. I’m a New Yorker.
I quite like the sound of Shawna and Shauna, and Seanna is an okay spelling. But ultimately - I would prefer Sienna. But the two aren’t really comparable are they?
