Parents giving their children a combination of their names is very common in the Philippines. Recently I met someone whose name was created by combining her parents' names:
Azucena and
Melchor. Her name was Azumelch. I think that the best combination I've seen is Chrisella (Crisogono and
Elena).
Here are some other combinations I've seen:
Arman (Arvie and
Emmanuel)
Crisminda (Cristoffer and
Luzviminda)
Pauliza (
Paulo and
Elizabeth)
Jhowin (
Josephine and
Erwin)
Laurelyn (
Lorenzo and Jennylyn)
Mercybert (
Mercedes and
Roberto)
Celestica (after the grandparents,
Celestino and Rustica)
Adeliosa (after the grandmas,
Adelina and Liliosa)
Wdyt of parents naming their kid a combination of their names? What are some names you've seen following this trend?
